A PLACE TO BE

In southern Mozambique, where one of Africa’s great wildernesses meets the Indian Ocean, Sulula lies within Maputo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Five kilometres of private, untouched beach stretch along the coast, opening onto a remarkable marine world. Whales pass offshore. Turtles return to nest on the sand. A house reef lies just beyond the beach, alive with tropical fish and other marine life.

Beyond the shoreline, the landscape changes again. Our private 810-hectare reserve has its own freshwater lake, where hippos gather. Beyond it, the wider national park unfolds through unique coastal forest, freshwater lakes and wetlands - a landscape successfully rewilded by Peace Parks, where herds of elephant, antelope and other wildlife now roam. Here, the thrill of safari sits alongside an extraordinary coastline - a rare combination of ocean, wilderness and wildlife in one place.

IMMERSE YOURSELF
WITH NATURE

At Sulula, these worlds come together effortlessly. Days might begin in the ocean and end on safari; a morning beneath the water might give way to a dhow sailing across the lake at sunset. There is space to explore, to reconnect, to be still - and to experience a side of Africa few ever have the opportunity to discover.

Thoughtfully created in harmony with its surroundings and deeply connected to the communities who call this place home, Sulula is more than a destination.

It is a different way of moving through the world.

Extraordinary places. Meaningful pathways.
